▪ For Portfolio Owners Only

Before considering whether our IPV Verification is something you are interested in, it’s important that you first understand the basics.

What is an IPV?

IPV stands for Investment Portfolio Value, and represents the Total Estimated Value of the Portfolio. The IPV Total would include all of the individual parcels from that portfolio, which have a value (price) Set or Displayed. Additionally, IPV can also represent an Individual Parcels set Value, when referring to a single parcel.

Parcels with No Value displayed

When you see parcels with No Value set, it represents a parcel that is actively receiving/available for Rough Estimates within our Online Appraisal Network.

Parcels With a Value displayed

When you see a Value that has been set on a parcel, it represents 1 of 3 scenarios.

1 – A parcel value that has been Dictated solely by the Owner (Owners Estimated/Set value).

2 – A parcel value that has been determined by the owner, Based on the Estimates provided and visible on that Appraisal page.

3 – A parcel value that has been ‘Verified’ (Reviewed), and has received a Verified Badge with an Estimated Value amount. The value that has been set on the parcel, should correspond with the estimated value featured on the parcels ‘Verification Badge’, or be a Lesser amount, to showcase the Investment Value of the parcel, IF the parcel is being offered for sale.

What does it mean to Get your IPV Verified?

Having your IPV Verified simply means, having some or all of your Parcels Reviewed and Valued by a non bias agent with extensive experience in opal.

The Verification process entails the agent considering all valid estimates submitted on a parcel, and giving a final Verified Estimate for a parcel and/or entire portfolio. Once a parcel has been Verified, it will be branded with a Verified Badge stating the parcels Estimated Value.

Do I Need to Get my IPV Verified?

Depending on the portfolio owners intended use for the portfolio, it may Not be necessary to get your IPV verified.

If you are a collector, and are only using your portfolio to organize and showcase your collection as a Visible Tangible Asset, then you really Don’t need to have your IPV verified. Alternatively, you can simply receive estimates on your parcels and set the value that you are comfortable with. Your contact email will be displayed on your portfolio in the event that someone wants to contact you with an offer.

Our IPV Verification is primarily for Opal Sellers and and those who create investment Portfolios with the intentions to Sell entire portfolios or investment parcels. We give our Portfolio owners the Freedom to set the value of their individual parcels, as well as the ability to edit/delete Estimates that have been submitted on their appraisal pages. Due to this freedom, portfolio owners also have the ability to exaggerate or inflate the value they set for their parcels, and essentially manipulate their IPV.

Thus making our IPV Verification process necessary, to preserve the integrity of our Investment Portfolios. Our IPV Verification was designed to offer a level of protection to buyers and new investors, who may be interested in shopping investment parcels or entire portfolios. Our IPV Verification ultimately makes it easier for Buyers/Investors to shop Verified portfolios or parcels with more confidence and clarity, as to a parcel or portfolios Investment Value.

Is IPV Verification Required for Sellers?

No. At this time, IPV Verification is Not required, but Recommended for Sellers.

However, it is important to note; that our IPV Verification Process is non bias. Meaning, your parcels may receive Verified Values that are Lower than you may like. Therefore, we leave it at the discretion of the portfolio owner to decide if having their IPV Verified is in their best interest, with the condition that Investment Portfolios will be managed responsibly and without any intended deception by portfolio owners.

If I am a Collector, But I may be Interested in Selling also, Should I Get my IPV Verified?

We imagine that this may be a common disposition among portfolio owners. After considering the pros and cons of having a parcel or your entire portfolio Verified, we leave it at the owners discretion to decide what’s in their best interest. Depending on a parcels/portfolios Market Appeal and Value (Discounted price) set by the owner, it may Not be necessary to get the parcel/portfolio Verified to initiate a Quick Sale.

IPV Verification may work best in appealing to New Investors, whom are interested in Buying Opal Investment Parcels/Portfolios as Tangible Assets, that can easily be added to their current investment portfolio.

The IPV Verification will give Our portfolio Owners Verified Estimated Values on their parcels/portfolio, which will Not reflect Discounted appraisals. This will allow our owners to receive an IPV Verified Value for their parcel/portfolio, then Offer the parcel or portfolio for a price Lesser than the IPV Verified Value, giving Buyers/Investors more confidence and clarity as to a parcel or portfolios Investment Value.

What if I get my IPV Verified, But I do Not agree with the Verified Estimated Value?

1 – You can elect Not to have a Verification Badge added to the parcel.

2 – You can Post an Estimate on the Appraisal Page with the Verified Estimated Value, and Ask ‘Agree/Disagree?’. If the Verified Estimate receives a majority of disagrees, you can submit your appraisal page for a new IPV Verification at No cost.

How much does it Cost to have my IPV Verified?

Currently, the rate for IPV Verification is $25 for an Individual Parcel, and $500 for an Entire Portfolio.
